Corporate jargon bingo is for the meeting where someone promises to circle back, take it offline and move the needle before the first slide is done. Each square holds one buzzword or stock phrase, from synergy and low-hanging fruit to deep dive, boil the ocean and put a pin in it. Players listen, mark a square the first time its phrase is spoken, and soon notice how often they use the same words themselves. It works for a team meeting, a quarterly review or an all-day offsite, as long as the group can laugh at itself.

Corporate jargon bingo tips
Decide before the meeting whether your own words count. If players can mark a square by saying it, someone will work bottom line and win-win into a status update just to finish a row; banning self-marks keeps everyone listening instead. Some teams allow it on purpose, which makes for much funnier updates.
Count close variants. Circling back, let's touch base later and can you ping me all mark their squares, since nobody says a buzzword exactly the same way twice. When two players disagree, the person taking notes has the final word.
Play only where the room shares the joke. Buzzword bingo lands in a team that already teases its own habits; in a meeting with a client or a new executive, the same card can read as mockery of whoever is speaking.
For an all-day offsite, hand out a fresh card after lunch and keep a tally of which phrases came up most. Ending the day by voting on one buzzword to retire, maybe boil the ocean or paradigm shift, gives the game a closing laugh.
Keep the prize in the spirit of the card: the winner picks the next team lunch spot or earns the right to call a hard stop at the next meeting without objections.
Best for
Ages
Working adults, from interns to managers who can take a joke
Group size
4 to 20 people from the same team or department
Duration
One meeting, from a 30-minute sync to a full-day offsite
How to play
No caller: players mark a square when they see the item around them. The first full line wins, so keep the cards until the end of the trip or the walk.
