Best free bingo card generators, tested
Which free bingo card generator prints without paying? We ran one 24-item list through 9 tools and noted where each stopped. Our own tool is described, not ranked.
You've got a list for your party or class, and you want printable cards without paying. But most "free" generators come with a catch: an account, a public card, a logo, a preview or a paid trial.
So we set the same job, a 24-item Thanksgiving list, in 9 generators. We noted what each lets you print without paying, and where it stopped: an account wall, a public card, numbers only or a paid download.
We make BingoCard Lab. We didn't run it through this test, so it isn't ranked or recommended below: its section near the end only describes how it works. There are no affiliate links, and we checked the 9 other tools on October 11, 2026.
Quick answer: For free word cards with no account, MyFreeBingoCards gives 30 cards and a PDF. For picture bingo in class, Tools for Educators is free, with 2,000+ images. For number bingo, letsplaybingo.io prints up to 500 cards. Bingo Card Creator, Canva, Adobe Express and Bingo Maker need an account before you get printable word cards.
The best free bingo card generator for each job
There's no single best bingo card generator, just one per job, and each comes with a limit.
- Lots of free word cards and online play: MyFreeBingoCards. 30 cards, a PDF and a virtual game for 30 players, with no account. Its name is on each card.
- No sign-up, big grids: Bingo Baker. Grids from 3×3 to 7×7. But the free card is public and can show up in search engines.
- Picture bingo for class: Tools for Educators. Free, with 2,000+ clip art images. It needs 25 items for 5×5 and makes up to 24 cards per batch.
- Number bingo: letsplaybingo.io. It prints up to 500 number cards for free, with no account.
Side-by-side: what you get without paying
Without paying, you take home anywhere from none to 500 cards per print run, depending on the tool. And 4 of the 10 ask for an account before you can print word cards.
| Tool | Account needed | Free printable cards | Pictures | To lift the limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MyFreeBingoCards | No | 30, plus an online game for 30 players | Background themes only | $10 for 100, $20 for 250, $30 for 500 |

| Bingo Card Creator | Yes, to print | None without a plan | Images, emoji | $2.95 for 7 days, then $19.95/month; or $34.95 for 6 months, $49.95/year |
| letsplaybingo.io | No | Up to 500 number cards | None | No paid plan seen |
| Tools for Educators | No | 8 to 24 per batch | 2,000+ clip art images | No paid plan |
| BingoGen.ai | No | None for your own list (preview only) | AI, one per word | $2.99 for 50, $4.99 for 100, $7.99 for 200 |
| Bingo Maker | Yes, for word cards | 25 trial cards, with an account | Emoji, images around the grid | Pay as you go, no subscription (see its pricing page) |
| Canva | Yes, before the editor | 25 with the Bingo Cards app (as listed) | Canva library | Not checked |
| Adobe Express | Yes, before the editor | Not checked | Adobe library | Not checked |
| BingoCard Lab | No, for text cards | Unlimited text cards, up to 100 per set | AI, one per item (paid to print) | $4.99 per set; Pro $9.99/month or $59/year |
"Not checked" means the answer sat behind an account wall.
Only 1 of the 8 word-card tools gave free printable cards for this job, without an account or a public card.
How we tested
We gave the 9 other tools the same job: a 24-item Thanksgiving list, 5×5 with a free space, 30 cards, Letter paper. The list: turkey, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls, apple cider, pecan pie. The other 12: football game, parade, Pilgrim hat, cornucopia, autumn leaves, wishbone, family photo, leftovers, acorn, scarecrow, napkin and gratitude.
- Checked on October 11, 2026, in Chrome on a computer, without creating any account or paying anything. An AI agent (Claude) drove the browser and logged each screen; we read its notes and screenshots before writing.
- 1 free PDF downloaded and counted: MyFreeBingoCards' 30 free cards, read by a script.
- 30 letsplaybingo.io cards counted straight from the page.
- 4 tools stopped at an account wall: Bingo Card Creator, Bingo Maker, Canva and Adobe Express. No account was created.
- Bingo Baker stopped before publishing, because generating the free card would have made it public.
- Nothing paid, so BingoGen.ai's paid PDF wasn't checked.
- No stopwatch and nothing printed.
- BingoCard Lab wasn't run through this protocol, so it gets no "best for" here.
JigsawMake, also in search results, wasn't part of this round.

"Free" means five different things
Before you pick a tool, check which kind of "free" it offers. There are five.
- Free to print: MyFreeBingoCards, letsplaybingo.io, Tools for Educators, and BingoCard Lab's text cards.
- Free preview: BingoGen.ai shows the word list, a text preview of card 01 and one sample picture. Bingo Card Creator is free to edit, paid to print.
- Free with strings: Bingo Baker's free card is public. MyFreeBingoCards and BingoCard Lab put their name on each free card.
- Paid trial: Bingo Card Creator costs $2.95 for 7 days, "then $19.95 monthly."
- Account first: Canva, Adobe Express and Bingo Maker ask you to sign in before you can make word cards.
Bingo Card Creator's homepage calls it "The #1 Free Bingo Card Generator," but its pricing page asks for a plan "to download or play online."
What it costs to lift the limit
Prices below are as of October 11, 2026.

The 9 tested generators, plus ours
Prices and limits are as of October 11, 2026.
MyFreeBingoCards

MyFreeBingoCards needs no account. You get 30 free cards and a virtual game link for 30 players. Grids come in Automatic, 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5, with 1, 2 or 4 cards per page. There are 16 background themes, including Thanksgiving.
The PDF includes a caller's card, and there's an online caller. It took 6 clicks after typing the list. Limits: no picture per square, the site name on each card, and 2 shared winning lines in 30 cards (more below).
Best for: lots of free word cards, and online play for up to 30 players.
Bingo Baker
Bingo Baker needs no account, and it handles 3×3 to 7×7 grids, a pasted list and pictures you drag in. It says it prints 10 to 10,000 cards.
Note: "Sorry, but you can only create public cards as a free user." Search engines can index a public card. A one-time payment of $24.95 unlocks private cards, unlimited uploads and no Bingo Baker branding.

Best for: no sign-up and big grids, if a public card is fine.
Bingo Card Creator
Bingo Card Creator lets you edit without an account, and our list showed up in the preview right away. It offers 3×3 to 5×5 grids, 75- and 90-ball cards, and Images, Ask AI and Emoji tabs.
To print, you need an account and a plan. It's $2.95 for 7 days, then $19.95 a month, or $34.95 for 6 months, or $49.95 a year. AI words start at $3.95 a month.
Want a Bingo Card Creator alternative that prints without a plan? See the table above.

Best for: people who make bingo every week and are happy to pay for a plan.
letsplaybingo.io
letsplaybingo.io is free, needs no account, and we saw no paid plan. It prints up to 500 cards, or 100 strips of 90-ball tickets, at 1, 2, 4 or 6 per page.
It's numbers only, so our word list didn't apply. The 30 cards we counted had no duplicates and no shared lines.
Best for: classic number bingo.
Tools for Educators
Tools for Educators is free, needs no account and has no paid plan. Picture mode offers 2,000+ images, including a Thanksgiving set. Grids are 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5.
Note: our 24-item list was refused on 5×5, even with the free space: "Please enter at least 25 different text items." The form offers 8 to 24 cards per batch, so 30 cards means two batches. You print a web page. Use is limited to "classroom and personal."
Best for: picture bingo in class.
BingoGen.ai
BingoGen.ai needs no account, even to pay. It writes a word list or takes yours, and it accepted our list on 5×5. You get 3×3 to 5×5 grids, 3 styles, "Avoid duplicates" and word-by-word regeneration.
There's no free printable card for your own list. The pictures are drawn after you pay: $2.99 for 50 cards, $4.99 for 100, $7.99 for 200.

Best for: illustrated cards at a low price per card, if you're fine paying before you see the full set.
Bingo Maker
Bingo Maker offers number-card PDFs without an account. Word cards need one: "2 credits at sign-up for your first 25 custom cards."
Pricing is pay as you go, with no subscription (see its pricing page), and up to 3,000 cards per project. Removing its logo, site and QR code from PDFs costs extra. A trial virtual session takes 25 participants every 23 hours.
Best for: big paid batches, with no subscription.
Canva
Canva asks for an account before it opens the editor, so we stopped there. A third-party app inside Canva, Bingo Cards by Ideonate, lists grids from 2×2 to 5×5 and "as many as 25 different cards for free." We didn't test it.
Best for: people who already design in Canva.
Adobe Express
Adobe Express also asks you to sign in before the editor opens. The page says "Free to use, no credit card required." It offers templates to decorate, but we didn't see a way to make a shuffled batch on the public page.
Best for: decorating one designed card, if you have an Adobe account.
BingoCard Lab (our tool, not tested here)
We make this one. It didn't go through the test above, so here's how it works, not how it tested, and we don't give it a "best for".
You describe your game in one sentence, and it writes a list of 30 items. You can rename, remove or add items, or use "Suggest 6 more items." Text cards are free, with no account, for as many sets as you like, up to 100 cards per set. Each card carries "Made with bingocardlab.com" and the logo.
Grids are 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5, on Letter or A4. The last page is a call sheet. No two cards share a complete winning line.
Each item can get an AI illustration, in 5 styles. Your first illustrated set is a free preview only. To print it, you need an Event pass ($4.99 once, per set, no logo).
Pro costs $9.99 a month or $59 a year, with 8 new illustrated sets a month. Pro has no free trial, and you can cancel in one click. There's no online play, and no caller for a list of items. And it's a new site.
Picture bingo: which free tools add images
Looking for a free bingo card generator with pictures? There are three ways to get them, and none draws a picture for each item on your own list and lets you print it free.
- A clip art library: Tools for Educators, free, with 25 items needed for 5×5.
- Your own images: Bingo Baker, on a public card, or Bingo Card Creator, with a plan to print.
- Drawn by AI: BingoGen.ai, paid, from $2.99 for 50 cards; BingoCard Lab, a free preview, then $4.99 per set or Pro to print.
No picture per square: BingoCard Lab's free text cards, MyFreeBingoCards (background themes only) and letsplaybingo.io (numbers).
Duplicate cards and shared lines: does "random" hold up?
Neither batch we counted had a duplicate card. But the 30 free MyFreeBingoCards cards held 2 shared winning lines:
- Cards 001 and 025: Acorn, Football game, Gratitude, Green beans, Wishbone.
- Cards 008 and 014: Acorn, FREE, Leftovers, Pecan pie, Sweet potatoes.
A shared line means two cards have the same 5 squares in a row, column or diagonal. If that line fills first, both players call bingo on the same call. For the basic rules, see how to play bingo.
That's what plain random shuffling does, not a flaw of one tool. We simulated 20,000 batches of 30 shuffled 5×5 cards from 24 items, comparing every card's 12 lines. About 3 in 4 batches had at least one shared line, and 38% had two or more.
Our 30 letsplaybingo.io number cards had no shared lines, which is normal with 75 numbers.
Tools for Educators warns that too few items means "boards will have a lot of overlap." It suggests 5 to 10 items more than the minimum.
BingoCard Lab's composer refuses to let any two cards share a complete winning line. If your list is too short for the number of cards, it tells you instead of printing shared lines. The app tells you how many cards your list allows.
That's how the composer is built, not a test of the live site. And it doesn't stop ties: two players can still call bingo on the same call with different lines. For how many calls a game takes, see how long a bingo game lasts.
